A Person-Centered Approach for Individuals with Cognitive Decline
Recreational services are especially effective for individuals with cognitive decline. A person-centered approach empowers individuals by offering choices in well-prepared environments that simplify complex tasks. Our compassionate and professional staff create settings with visual, auditory, and tactile cues to facilitate recall and encourage participation. At Recare, we see the person, not just the condition, and employ these methods to care for your loved one.
How It Works
Our cognitive engagement specialists work closely with families to understand each client’s history, interests, daily routines, and preserved abilities. We then create a customized, goal-oriented activity plan that promotes engagement, helps to reduce behavioral symptoms, and enhances quality of life. We continuously analyze and reevaluate our clients' behaviors to address any changes related to the disease.
Memory Program Activities
